The Sumba horse or also called sandalwood pony is named after the islands on which they are bred — Sumba and sandalwood in the past is the most commodity of this island. This islands is a part of Indonesia country located in east Indonesia.

The horses is today used for pack, riding, and light draft work.

The ponies is quick, agile, athletic, and fast, with great endurance, and a willing temperament. The ponies average height is around 130 – 142 cm.

The Sumba has a heavy head, short, muscular neck, and low withers.

Orang Utan

Native to Indonesia, they are currently found only in rainforests on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra.

The orangutans are a species of great apes.
Orangutans have a large, bulky body, a thick neck, very long, strong arms, short, bowed legs, and no tail. Orangutans are about 2/3 the size of the gorilla.

They have longer arms than other great apes, and their hair is typically reddish-brown, instead of the brown or black hair typical of other great apes.

The name orangutan (also written orang-utan, orang utan and orangutang) is derived from the Indonesian words orang meaning “person” and hutan meaning “forest”, thus “person of the forest”.

A World Heritage Site

Komodo National Park is located in the center of the Indonesian archipelago, between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores.

In 1986, the Park was declared a World Heritage Site and a Man and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.

This National Park includes 3 Islands: Komodo, Rinca and Pada, these islands as well as being home to the Komodo dragon.

Komodo is a classified as a carnivore species. Komodo’s tail is as length as its body, with 60 sharp teeth with length around 2.5 cm. The biggest wild species that ever been known has: 3.13 m of length and 166 kg of weight.

Reproduction: mating occurs between May and August, with the eggs laid in September.

This animal can live for more than 50 years.

Kintamani Dog

The Kintamani dog is an evolving breed indigenous to the Kintamani region of Bali, Indonesia.

This Breeders often confine the dogs to cold dark caves near the Kintamani volcano, insisting it an essential step in developing the thick white coat of Bali’s only official breed.

While most dog breeds are disinclined to climbing and heights, Kintamani’s will climb across roofs and spend parts of the day happily installed sitting or sleeping atop a garden wall. They are light-footed and move freely.
Common fur colors include white, beige, and black.

Local history told thatsometime between the 12th and the 16th century a Chinese trader named Lee landed in Singaraja in Northern Bali, bringing with him a Chow Chow dog which bred with the local Balinese feral dogs.

Ox tail soup

This is one of famous and favorite soup in Indonesia: Ox tail Soup

Serves 6

* 1 kg ox tail
* water
* salt
* 200 g carrot, slice
* 2 tomatoes, break into pieces

* 5 green onion, chop into 2 cm size
* 3 stick of celery
* 1 1/2 tsp pepper powder
* 1/2 tsp nutmeg
* 3 tbs fried shallots

1. Chop ox tail into pieaces in appropriate size. Boil them in water with salt until the meat is cooked.
2. Take out the ox tail, reserve 1500cc of boiling soup for later use. If the soup is short, add water to
be 1500cc.
3. Put ox tail back to 2 and bring to boil, add carrot, tomatoes, green onion, celery, pepper and nutmeg,
cook until all the ingredients are cooked.
4. Serve with fried shallots on top.
